Biography

Litigation Background

Sarah spent six years working as a defense litigator, handling personal injury cases in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state and federal courts. During that time, she represented large corporations, national retailers, and business owners responding to lawsuits, gaining hands-on experience in high-stakes litigation from the defense side.

Business Ownership Experience

Outside of the courtroom, Sarah’s professional path was also shaped by entrepreneurship. Coming from a family of long-time Midwestern corporate workers, she wanted to build something of her own. As a result, she started her first business from her kitchen nine years ago.

Within a year and a half, her products were being sold in nearly 100 stores nationwide. Notably, she achieved that growth while working full-time at a law firm and caring for a new baby at home.

Founding a Small Business Law Practice

Through her business ownership experience, Sarah met many fellow entrepreneurs who regularly sought her advice. Over time, she saw a clear gap in the market for a business lawyer who was approachable, practical, and genuinely experienced in running a business.

Because of that, she launched Philadelphia Small Business Lawyer LLC in 2013, which later became Holmes Business Law, PC. Today, her work reflects both her litigation background and her firsthand understanding of the challenges business owners face.
