Sarah Holmes
Of Counsel
Sarah Holmes serves Of Counsel to Freundlich & Littman, bringing dual expertise from litigation and entrepreneurship to the firm's business and personal injury matters. She spent six years working as a defense litigator, handling personal injury cases in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state and federal courts, representing corporations and retailers and gaining experience in high-stakes litigation from the defense perspective.
Coming from a family of long-time Midwestern corporate workers, Ms. Holmes wanted to build something of her own. She started her first business nine years ago from her kitchen, and within a year and a half, her products were being sold in nearly 100 stores nationwide, all while maintaining full-time law firm employment and caring for an infant.
Through that entrepreneurial experience, Ms. Holmes encountered many business owners seeking legal guidance and saw a clear gap in the market for a business lawyer who was approachable, practical, and genuinely experienced in running a business. She established Philadelphia Small Business Lawyer LLC in 2013, later renamed Holmes Business Law, PC, a practice that now reflects both her litigation background and her firsthand understanding of business owner challenges, and is integrated with her work at Freundlich & Littman.
